When it comes to custom builds, SpeedKore is at the top of the mountain. The American Performance Company has been fabricating some of the most outrageous vehicles for a number of years now, with their latest effort sure to excite fans of The Fast and the Furious saga. SpeedKore has built an exact replica of the 1968 Dodge Charger driven by Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto in F9. Named the Hellacious F9, this absolute monster sports a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 mounted behind the front seats. The engine is that big that SpeedKore had to craft a custom frame to fit it inside the car. Not only is it huge, but the V8 engine also generates a massive 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Other highlights of the Hellacious F9 build include Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, a custom MagnaFlow exhaust system, a Detroit Speed steering rack and track-tuned QA1 dampers, hydraulic hand brake, and new high-performance intercoolers and radiator. “This Charger is one of our most extreme builds to date,” said Jim Kacmarcik, president and owner of SpeedKore. “After commissioning renowned designer Sean Smith to design the car and working with F9’s picture vehicle coordinator Dennis McCarthy to build the nine chassis and vehicle bodies for the film, we wanted to bring the movie magic of F9 to life. Hellacious is a road-going version of the movie car with the functionality of a purpose-built performance car.” The car is going to be shown at several conventions before eventually being put on the market.
