The latest character to get their own Marvel show is fan-favorite Hawkeye. A regular in the big screen Avenger films, the master archer now gets his own TV show heading to Disney+ this November. Jeremy Renner reprises his role as Clint Barton/Hawkeye who is trying to be a better father in a post-blip world. Unfortunately, it’s not all rosy for Barton, who finds himself in the crosshairs of multiple criminal gangs after his killing spree as Ronin comes back to haunt him. He also has to deal with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a self-confessed Hawkeye fangirl and self-proclaimed “world’s greatest archer” who wants to emulate her hero. When the two find themselves forced to team up to defeat a common enemy, all bets are off as the duo use their skills to take names and kick ass, as the action-packed trailer demonstrates. Check out the trailer and official synopsis below:
Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit. If the trailer is anything to go by, Hawkeye looks to have a good mix of action and comedy. The banter between Hawkeye and Bishop is central to the series and should provide plenty of laughs. Along with Renner and Steinfeld, Hawkeye will also star Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop; Kate’s mother, Fra Fee as Kazi, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne; Barton’s early mentor, Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo; a deaf Native American who can perfectly copy another person’s movements, Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez; Maya’s father, and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/Black Widow. Hawkeye will premier on Disney+ on November 24.
