Luxury Swiss watchmaker De Bethune has unveiled its latest model, the DB Kind of Two Tourbillon DB29. As the name suggests, this stylish timepiece is actually two watches in one.
“Two dials, two identities,” claim De Bethune. “A technical and aesthetic exercise that opens up a whole new field of research.” Who are we to argue?
Known for their unique approach to watch design, De Bethune has taken things to another level with the DB29. The polished 43 mm titanium face is reversible and contains larger than usual lugs so you can switch between the two watch faces seamlessly.
One side has a classic silver dial with polished blue titanium hours, minutes, and seconds. On the flip side is a more contemporary design with a partly skeletonized face. This dial also has polished blue titanium hour markers and silvered relief minutes, along with Arabic numerals from 05 to 60.
The DB29 features a specially produced movement, De Bethune’s in-house Caliber DB2579. Partially hidden on the skeletonized dial, the caliber provides five days of power reserve for both watch faces.
As is the case with a watch as opulent as this, there is only a limited amount up for grabs and the price tag isn’t cheap. You’ll be forking out $250,000 if you want to grab one of only 10 DB Kind of Two Tourbillon DB29’s.
