LEGO has outdone itself again with this latest build. The Danish toy company has crafted a life-size Lamborghini Sián FKP 37. The striking LEGO automobile took a team of 15 nine months to build, with designers spending over 8,660 hours on this incredible creation. Over 400,000 Lego Technic pieces have been used, including 154 different types of LEGO Technic elements and 20 created exclusively for the car. LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO The Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is arguably the most realistic replica LEGO has ever built, with the spectacular car coming in at 4,980 mm long, 2,101 mm wide, 1,133 mm high, and weighing 2,200 kg. Not only does this model look exactly like the real deal on the outside – including a special paint job from Lamborghini’s official car painter – but the interior features intricate details such as racing seats and a sports steering wheel with the Italian flag and Lamborghini logo. “Our designers love a challenge, so you can imagine their delight when we tasked them to think slightly larger than normal with this model,” Lena Dixen, Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing at the LEGO Group said. “They jumped at the chance of teaming up with our amazing designers and engineers from our model production workshop at the Kladno factory in the Czech Republic who build these impressive life-size models, and really pushing the boundaries of what can be done with LEGO Technic. The creativity that the system allows meant it was possible to really do justice to the exceptional design of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.” LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO has also created a virtual simulator that allows you to discover more about the build while also getting behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Sián. For those who want to own one, LEGO has released a 1:8 scale model made from 3,696 pieces that include an 8-speed working gearbox and scissor doors.   lego.com
