Apple TV+ has released the trailer for its upcoming Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd series The Shrink Next Door. The miniseries will debut on the Apple TV+ streaming platform from November 12 and is directed by Michael Showalter and Jesse Peretz, based on a script by multi-award-winning writer Georgia Pritchett.

Inspired by true events, The Shrink Next Door details the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (Rudd) and his longtime patient Martin “Marty” Markowitz (Ferrell).  Over the course of their relationship, the all-too-charming Ike slowly inserts himself into Marty’s life, even moving into Marty’s Hamptons home and persuading Marty to name him president of the family business.  It’s always great to see Ferrell in a serious role, while Rudd continues to shine. This series looks like a lot of fun and is the first time Ferrell and Rudd have appeared alongside each other since Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. In addition to stars (and executive producers) Ferrell and Rudd, The Shrink Next Door also stars Kathryn Hahn as Marty’s sister Phyllis, and Casey Wilson as Bonnie, the wife of Dr. Herschkopf. The Shrink Next Door will hit Apple TV+ on November 12.
